  • Have you ever wondered how Timothy creates his iconic award winning wedding photographs?
  • Do you want to create mountain wedding images for your portfolio?
  • Do you want to learn the business side of wedding photography?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, then this one day intensive wedding photography workshop is for you. Throughout of the course of the day we will work with male and female models exploring natural and flash lighting, posing, and choosing backgrounds in a real world approach. From there we will discuss the business side of wedding photography from how to structure your business, paid and free advertising, and using social media to its fullest potential to find new clients.

Off Camera Flash

Minimalist Approach

As a destination wedding photographer, Timothy needs to travel and work fast and light. That means no studio lighting and other bulky equipment. Timothy will demonstrate how to use simple on-camera flash effectively to create natural looking lighting.

From there we will work on more advanced techniques such as using off camera flash to create images like the one on the left. We will also work on the use of reflectors and the creation of window light portraits.

When you finish this class, you will be confident in your understanding of camera settings and lighting, and be ready to create images in a variety of situations you will experience at a real wedding.

The Business Side

Where most workshops fall short is by focusing exclusively on the photography without any attention to the business side of photography. Most new photography businesses fail not because of the lack of photographic skill, but the lack of attention to the business side of the operation
Timothy wants every person to leave this one day workshop with at least a basic understanding of the pros and cons of different business structures, a marketing plan, and the understanding of how social media can grow your client base for little to no money.
