Choosing a Photographer: Part 1

This article is the first part of a three part series

Choosing a photographer for your wedding can be a daunting process.  As I have mentioned before, it is something that everyone lacks experience in. Choosing a photographer for a wedding is something most people will only do once in their lives. So where are you supposed to start?

I think one of the most important things to look for in a photographer is their personality. Couples will spend more time with their photographer than any other vendor at the wedding, and probably a lot more time than most, if not all, of their guests. It is important to find someone that you can click with on a personal level. With any other vendor it is not as important to have a good personal relationship. Having things in common with the florist or caterer will not make the flowers more colorful or the food tastier. It is a little different when it comes to photography

When it comes to wedding photography how well you get along with your photographer will effect the quality of the images. When choosing a photographer, find someone that you can laugh with. Look for someone with whom you share common interests and you will have something to talk about with them. All of this helps you be more relaxed around your photographer and will result in you looking your absolute best.

Forgive the pun, but nothing is more important than your ability to “click” with your photographer.
